City School’s tuition-based PreK program in South Austin meets Monday through Friday, September through May. Families may choose full-day or half-day enrollment. Full-day hours are 8:20 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with all students dismissed at 12:30 p.m. on Fridays.
At City School, successful students develop various skills before thinking about academics. Students who demonstrate compassion, compromise, and communication skills create a strong foundation for learning. To develop this readiness, our PreK students will engage in extensive play both indoors and out, through reading of stories, pretend play, creative stations, building, language arts, and math.
